I employed William Loren Smith in the late 1990s and had problems with him from day one. He was the contractor for the needed projects and later tried to take total credit once completed.
Will never had skin in the game but wanted equal investor revenue without the legal responsibilities. In short, investment money was for the tasks and not his personal needs other than his salary.
The mama’s boy
He was paid his worth but was caught swapping out new company computer hardware with his old personal system, then hosting his friends’ websites on the company server while making ancillary revenue without paying server fees. I also became aware he was soliciting my investors and clients. I immediately fired him, and he destroyed all projects on the way out.
More than obviously working with Will, he was a grossly immature narcissistic sociopath. I had to write paychecks to his mother because his bank account was closed for writing bad checks—the same person who spent seven years in the army and was in his 30s. In layperson’s terms, Will was, without a doubt, a total mama’s boy and loser.
We both moved on (or so I thought), but he was always envious that I progressed faster. Like most rejected narcissists, he constantly stalked me in our tight business community.
He later found out I was working with the same person who built the projects he contracted with when working for me. This person supplied me with a program that markets/solicits Internet newsgroups. I did exceptionally well, but it was time to quit while you were ahead due to the serious tone of the hate email.
Thinking he’s a player
He soon sent a “rent a friend” to befriend and ask about the newsgroup marketing program. So, to their amazement, I gave it to them for free, as this should’ve been their first warning sign.
I wanted to be released from all responsibility due to new laws regarding this type of marketing and when the term “spamming” was coined, when William Loren Smith became a bestiality porn spammer.
The Downfall
It took little time for Will to expand, and the money came in. You saw this by his arrogant rhetoric. He never had any real money before, as his sociopathic narcissism and greed came to light.
Will was spamming alt-sex newsgroups covering all topics, including animals. He once bragged about a banner making him a lot of money. It read, “This little piggy went to the market, and this piggy f#cked my sister.”
He couldn’t stop talking about how much money he was making but failed to realize he was making himself a target in open adult industry forums. Plus, these same forums had the same members who ran the newsgroups he was spamming. Idiot.
Will’s Narcissistic arrogance and sociopathic tendencies blinded his hypocrisy, and he paid dearly for it.
The IRS
Will refused to file taxes on the profit revenue from spamming newsgroups. The IRS froze his bank accounts, and Will took a Failure to File Penalty and pleaded to stay out of jail.
Will now owed three-quarters of a million to the IRS and, to this day, has never been able to catch up. You can see this in the PDF file (right) towards the bottom. His narcissism couldn’t accept he was at fault, so he went after anyone he thought would call the IRS.
Many in Will’s circle soon got audited as he left messages on the industry forum boards. He stated receiving a 30% reward for anyone reported who owed or willfully failed to file/pay. I guess that’s one way to reduce your tax debt.
